Clean probiotic
One reason why I decided for this product is that it doesn't contain any unnecessary fillers. The pill size is easy to swallow and I think it's a great value for your money at the current price of 19ct/serving. The capsules are acid resistant which means the capsules make it through the stomach intact which is a big plus. I also like that the manufacturer added inulin which nourishes the bacterium and generates a good environment for them. So far, I haven't observed any negative side effects. Each capsule contains 5 Billion CFU (colony forming units) of Bifidobacterium infantis. The listing claims that they're manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility and 3rd party tested.

It is naturally found in the human gastrointestinal tract, particularly in infants, and plays a crucial role in maintaining gut health and overall well-being.Key BenefitsDigestive Health:- Helps alleviate symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), such as bloating, gas, and abdominal pain.- Supports a balanced gut microbiome by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria and inhibiting harmfulmicrobesImmune System Support:- Enhances immune function by reducing inflammation and supporting the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT)Anti-Inflammatory Properties:- Produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) that contribute to intestinal health and may help prevent intestinal barrier dysfunctionInfant Health:- Plays a vital role in the gut microbiota of breastfed infants, aiding in nutrient absorption and protecting against harmful pathogensB. infantis is generally considered safe for most people. Mild side effects, such as bloating or gas, may occur initially as the gut adjusts. Individuals with compromised immune systems or specific health conditions should consult a healthcare provider before use.Prebiotic Inulin fiber promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, improving the overall microbiome balance. It is a type of soluble dietary fiber found naturally in various plants, such as chicory root, garlic, onions, and bananas. Inulin is not digested in the stomach or small intestine but reaches the large intestine, where it acts as a food source for beneficial gut bacteria, such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli.Benefits of Inulin as a PrebioticSupports Gut Health: Promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria, helping to maintain a balanced gut microbiome.Improves Digestion: Helps alleviate constipation by increasing stool bulk and promoting regular bowel movements.Enhances Mineral Absorption: May improve the absorption of calcium and magnesium, contributing to better bone health.Regulates Blood Sugar: Slows digestion, which can help stabilize blood sugar levels.Weight Management: Provides a feeling of fullness, potentially aiding in appetite control.Prebiotics are foods (typically high-fiber foods) that act as food for human microflora; they are used with the intention of improving the balance of these microorganisms; whereas, probiotics are foods/supplements that contain live microorganisms intended to maintain or improve the "good" bacteria (normal microflora) in the body. The capsules are acid-resistant, ensuring that the probiotics survive stomach acid and reach the intestines intact for maximum efficacy. The capsules are made with DRcaps technology and made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), a plant-based polymer, making them suitable for vegetarians and clean-label products. These capsules are designed to delay the release of their contents, ensuring that sensitive ingredients like probiotics, enzymes, and certain vitamins are protected from stomach acid and released in the intestines. They help mask unpleasant tastes and odors, reducing the risk of aftertaste or reflux.

Reasonably priced single strain probiotic
Bifidobactium infantis, like its name sounds, is a bacterium commonly found in the digestive tract of infants. We tend to have less of it in our gut as we get older. Probiotics such as these, try to repopulate our aging guts with the flora of yesteryear, hoping to do a better job of breaking down what we eat and reducing inflammation along the way. -or, so the theory goes. This is a single probiotic strain, in contrast to some of the others out there that seem to throw the kitchen sink at you. In many of those, half of what they're including seems to be the same organisms you'd get just by having a serving of yogurt. I eat yogurt. I don't need to take a supplement that has the stuff I'm already getting elsewhere. Not getting B. infantis anywhere else, so I thought I'd give it a go.It's hard to know for certain whether this one is helping much or not. For me, this is more or less a long-term experiment to see if I feel better after taking it for a month. I do already take Saccharomyces boulardii, another probiotic, so that may make it more difficult to specifically point to any improvement. But, so far, so good. I plan to keep taking it for a while and see how it all goes and then see if I notice a difference when I stop taking it.Some of these probiotics can get kind of pricey, but the price on this one is pretty reasonable. Single pill, reasonable sized capsule. I take one with breakfast and get on with my day.
