I ordered these placemats to protect me dark wood dining table. I liked the color and ordered them because the description said they were heat resistant. The first time we used them we put regular dinner plates on the table, not super hot or anything and these placemats left a rough plastic residue on the wood finish which I cannot get off. I’m really unhappy as my table now has this rough sticky coating on it.

Purchased as a daily and inexpensive option for the dining room. The mats feel great and provide adequate tackiness for flatware and cups, without feeling like the padded Con-Tact paper.Pros:- Easy to clean; we wipe ours and wash them in the sink as needed- Wrinkle proof; lines are easily removed by washing and allowing to dry flat- Attractive design and color (I realize this is subjective, however, with urban gothic / modern themed decor, it works great).- Very low profileCons:- Does not block liquids

I bought the black color placemats. I really like them. They fit nicely on my smaller sized table and kitchen countertop. It is worth mentioning those are smaller-medium sized dishes. If you have full sized or oversized dishes, you may need larger placemats. These fit perfectly for me. Nice material too. I would recommend to others.

These are not heat resistant. And now my grandmothers table has a heat mark. VERY unhappy

I purchased previously and needed additional. They came in a flat box, but the placemats were very wavy and not laying flat. I put a thin fabric over them and ironed them. The waves are still there. Very disappointed, and considering returning them.

Exactly what I wanted to protect our glass table. Very easy to clean. Could be cut to size if needed. We don’t worry about the heat part, we just put plates and bowls on them. They are plastic so I wouldn’t trust them to place hot items directly into. I am very happy with them.

Good price for quality. I wouldn't say these are heat resistant -- I feel like a hot dish would very easily transfer heat through this mat and damage table surface. They feel more like plastic than any type of fabric which makes cleaning very quick and easy. They look great and serve the purpose I need, very good price. Definitely recommend, just not for hot dishes. Only had them a few weeks but so far seem pretty durable (don't regularly move/flex/fold them, feel like this would deteriorate them)

I bought these placemats because I liked the color and low sheen finish. They look great on the table. The price was great too. The similar ones online where more than double. The only downside is that liquid can seep through the mess if you're not careful. I still need to use a coaster for hot or sweaty cold drinks.
