In short, I love this grinder. It has replaced my 15-year-old Hario, and is shockingly better. The first few times I used it, I was worried about the amount of grounds I was losing due to static cling. The easy fix for this is to add a couple drops of water on top of the beans and then shake them up. A little trick for this: Add your beans to the base reservoir first, then add a few drops of water, cover with the palm of your hand, shake, then add beans to top of hopper, and dry out the base with a paper towel (so that the remaining water doesn't cause grounds to stick).

My primary reasons for buying are quality, utility to cost and I'm not disappointed. There are no plastic parts like many with tops, insides or sides, instead everything is good quality with metal and rubber. I really enjoy the design of the handle for storage, feel, and especially if you put it in the cabinet with a lot of other coffee gear for space. The handle also doubles as a knocker and there's very little retention, approximately ≈0.1 g. Because this is the ESP espresso version, you can dial in more exacting grinding settings for your pour overs, drip, AeroPress, French press, etc and even espresso grinds.

I had an old blade grinder that stopped working and I wanted to replace it with a better quality grinder. This one is great. It’s really well machined. It turns so easy and grinds well.I love that they have the little bag and that the handle folds for travel (there’s a little rubber bit on the underside of the handle so it doesn’t bump and damage the shaft of the grinder when folded).We won’t take it backpacking cause it’s a bit heavy but we’ll bring it in our trailer for boondocking trips. It has a nice range of settings, it’s satisfying to use and I’m happy that we have it. If it went missing I’d buy it again.

I’ve been using an electric grinder for my espresso and just not getting a good shot with my bottomless portafilter. Bought the C3Pro ESP since you anre able to dial in a better for espresso. I went from having my shots spray all over to getting a beautiful single stream with incredible creama. I am a wimp and had difficulty at first using this, but another reviewer had mentioned grinding at an angle so was not to get too many beans trying to grind at once and that worked for me. I also use a rubber jar opener to hold the grinder just to give myself a little bit of extra leverage. my husband has no issue using the grinder at all. I’m so happy with the quality of the grinder. It is all metal and the folding handle is easy to use. It is very sturdy, heavy, and well-made.
