Well written by an expert and knowledgeable meteorologist
I am very pleased with this interesting and well written book. I have yet to read it from cover to cover so have just dipped in on a need to know basis. The illustrations are clear and useful and the photos accompanying the text are clear and well chosen. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn about clouds and weather and also to those who have a background in meteorology it covers the range of interest and expertise.

A Great Book For The Weather Watchers
If you are interested in the weather, you must read this book. It is very informative and gives detailed facts on the weather and explains what clouds mean what, and what weather conditions mean what. It really is a must read for anyone interested in weather watching or anyone who spends alot of time outdoors.

Do You know RYA Weather and REED's Weather? Then get this book! No? Get this book!
I try to read every single book on marine meteorology to stay current (it is needed when you run marine met courses), so when I got this one I was surprised that it adds a lot to RYA Weather Handbook and REED's Weather Handbook both essential. This is the third MUST HAVE in evey sailor's library.

Not relevant for Indians
Bought this book after seeing high ratings. But this book isn't for people living in tropical countries like India. Mr. Watts has not even tried to explain some basic weather feautres like Lows, trough which usually brings significant weather in India. Some picture in the book are way too irrelevant. I would rather read books like the Monsoon by P K Das who has succesfully described the significant features of Meteorology effecting india and its people.

Hard to read
Very informative resource. Well written with excellent photos and diagrams. Unfortunately, the typeface of the book is too small and very light making it difficult to read.
