Rantopad MXX Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - 87 Keys,White Backlit, Cherry MX Switch, Black Aluminum Cover, N-Key Rollover (Blue Switches)

Many might think me crazy since I rated this a 4 out of 5 even though I returned it for being defective. However let me explain:Pros:Very sleekSmall in terms of desk spaceAmazing key responses. My first red switch and will stay with this type from now on. No noticeable "click" feel when you push the keys they go all the way down with very little effort. Great for gaming and typing.Metal/sturdy feel. This thing feels better than my sons $200 razer keyboard in terms of craftsmanshipDetachable braided cord, sleek pouch to store the keyboard and included keypullerCons:No foot rest on these things. I like my keyboards flat but many might not like this.Random failure (see below)My issue: I noticed that about 3 days before it "failed" I was getting mild static type shocks on occasion. I choked it off as possibly my chaining to a new chair; or just new floor mat. Then I suddenly lost functions on about 5 keys: they simply would not work when pressed. The remaining keys, lights all worked perfectly. I simply think I got a bad unit; unlucky. However I have the older model Rantopad that still works perfectly but I shipped it to a friend.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought this keyboard mainly for typing, hence the choice the blue switch.The packaging is in good shape, the keyboard uses cherry mx blue switch and has metal surface as advertised.The backlight pattern is quite impressive as it's pre-configured and usable on both Windows and Linux(Ubuntu 16.04). The keyboard offers varied pattern that can be switched through simple keystroke combinations, and it comes with instructions on setting the backlights.The keyboard uses USB-USB cable. The original cable looks quite sturdy and reasonably long, an overkill for laptop use actually. It also comes with a socket-shaped USB port on the keyboard, mainly to keep the cable connection stable.There is a niche with keyboard feel though. The backspace key feels stickier than similar-sized keys such as ENTER, the reason might be of design or else. Despite that it works good and has the characteristic feel of cherry blue switch so no star is knocked.Overall this is a keyboard I would recommend to my friends interested in buying a mechanical keyboard. It is reasonably portable and offers a good combination of aethestics and affordability.

I've had this keyboard for a couple months so far. I bought it to replace my last work keyboard which died before it was a year old. I wanted to try a mechanical keyboard for durability, but I knew they can be loud... and these are. At least more so than typical membrane keyboards. Personally, I really prefer the quiet keyboards, but there aren't any Cherry keys for that. However, the noise hasn't been a problem so far and no one has complained to HR. :) I love the small form factor and the quality feel of the keyboard overall.

UPDATE: got the my new keyboard and its absolutely amazing! switches are smooth and types well. i love it.Gave it a three star because when I ordered this they sent me the wrong one. I got sent the gateron blues. I got the first one with free same day. But now I have to return the one I got and wait another day for the right keyboard. But from what I got the keyboard was nice. Simple nice lighting effects. The keyboard itself is lighter than most mech boards. I didn't like the feel of the gaterons they didn't feel smooth. The clickyness was there but didn't feel nice when I pressed some keys. The loom and feel of it was nice. The usb cable fit snug. It's standard sizing keys so you can put custom keycaps if you wanted to make it your own. Will do an update when I receive the new keyboard.

Keyboard is solidly built and looks great, but there's a 1-2 second delay when I push the WASD keys during any games. Typing is fine on this keyboard, BTW. I returned it because I wanted it for gaming.

Quality is overall okay but don't feel as good as my other red axis mechanical keyboard that I eventually returned it...

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I had this keyboard for a week and today it started malfunctioning. When I press the number 3 key it puts e. The c button goes through the lighting effects. Please respond to this issue.

Solid, great price. Wish I could get MX keys with RGB

I got this keyboard on the Black Friday deal for £63.96! Such a great deal for a truly wonderful mechanical gaming keyboard. I just love the really compact size along with the modern design with swept edges and the brushed metal top plate. This feels like a really premium unit and even the plastic on the underside feels really nice to the touch. It only has one angle which I have found to be perfect but this is personal preference of course, and it's held in place on your desk by two large rubber feet which, along with the weight of the board, creates a really sturdy platform.The back-lighting options are great and easy to use after following the manual. You can save a profile for your favorite game and only light the keys that you'll be using and this is totally driverless which means it doesn't require any software and you can use the same profile from PC to PC which is really neat. You can also use one of the six built in lighting modes if you want and also have the option to turn on or off the 'MXX' logo as well which is a nice inclusion.Rantopad is a fairly unknown gaming brand which has emerged from China recently but with the great design, nice price and genuine Cherry MX key switches this is a keyboard you cannot go wrong with. I went with the Brown switches after doing my research (this is my first mechanical keyboard) and have been loving them. They give a nice bump to let you know you've activated the key without the loud 'click' a Blue switch gives you.Overall great keyboard at a good price, don't hesitate if you're on the edge!

So I bought this because the keyboard i wanted wasnt in stock, however this was the same price and aluminium so i gave it a go. Im not disappointed, i was expecting cheap packaging but the packaging is good looking and of a high quality. The board is not as large as i thought which is perfect because i dont want a large keyboard. cherry keys are very smooth and i love the click noise (i have reds so its not a tactile click)

The keyboard itself is a joy to use, the mechanical keys are awesome, its the perfect size for smaller desks and the lighting features are great, however I had an issue with it about 5 months after purchasing where various keys were outputting incorrect characters or no characters at all (for example, the backspace key was typing "t"). I've tried contacting Rantopad support a few weeks ago however I haven't receive any replies as of the 13th of June.

Excellent keyboard. The press of the keys is very satisfying. Cherry MX BrownIllumination effects are superb.Only downside is the spacebar squealing a little.Overall it is a must buy!

This is an excellent keyboard. Very minimal, with good weight and flawless performance. I use it at work for typing (code+text) and it is an absolute pleasure to use. The switches are very nice (Cherry MX brown) with an actuation feedback but no extra noise. What I like most about it is the quality of the caps. They are matte, oil-resistant and seem like they will last for a long time. I am really happy with my purchase.
