I have tried some aftermarket batteries before and they were awful. We had 18 days in New Zealand. We used the snot out of our camera, zooming, reviewing pictures, I mean we took ALOT of pictures and used every feature the camera had. This battery was to replace the original that was not charged for a long time and sat around.This worked just as well as the original battery did brand new. Even taking over a hundred pictures in one day and using features it never dropped below one bar for battery life.Very happy with this and I am going to try and remember to charge it once in a while so I don't kill it like I did the original. I use this as a backup and to replace the original Canon battery when it is fully discharged so I can keep shooting where chargers are not available. Charged twice so far. Fit in Canon charger fine, held charge and, in my G12, worked as well as the Canon original at a fraction of the cost.

This battery has 1600 mAh, and that is a LOT of power for so small a package. I have bought in the past only Canon batteries but I couldn't resist this offer: much greater power for about half the price (the Canon battery has 1050 mAh). I like to have replacement backup batteries always with me, for there is nothing worse than running out of power when there are "must have" pictures to shoot. I have been using this battery for the past couple weeks for my Canon G12 and it has performed just fine. Only time will tell about its longevity.

Both batteries fit in my JVC Everio just fine and arrived fully charged. Each battery has a life of about 160 minutes! As compared to the original which only records for about 40 minutes. I could finally record an entire school concert! Just wish I had bought it sooner. One note - these batteries are about a half inch thicker than the original, but well worth it for the extra capacity.

Bought this battery about three months ago. When I was doing the research this appeared to be the best second market battery of the other options. After using for three months this battery definitely does not hold a charge nearly as long as the Canon battery. Maybe half to three quarter as long for pics even less when you throw videos into the mix. In addition, the battery does not give as much warning time when it is ready to go dead. With the canon battery I can usually get more shots when the low battery warning starts flashing.Battery performs wells and charges quickly but if you need a battery that can last on some important shoots this is not the one to get. If you use it, I would strongly recommend having a fully charged backup handy. You could lose the charge at the wrong time.

The standard battery is 1000mAh and I got this battery at a reasonable price because the capacity is much higher. Delivery was very fast, it charged properly and works properly in my G12. The long term performance of the battery is what counts, and I do not know that yet.

The battery I received would not charge in my Canon CB-2LZ charger. When I place the battery in the charger the "Charge" light lights, but when I come back later the "Charge" light is out and the "Full" light is not lit. After a little over 4 hours in the charger (Charge time for a Cannon NB-7L Battery is approximately 2 hrs 20 min.) I placed the battery in my Canon G12 and hit the play button to try and review pictures. (The play button will start the G12 to review images without activating the lens, so I assume this has a lower power consumption.) The camera would not power up.Perhaps I received a defective battery, but I'm leaving on a trip in a week, so I don't have time to keep exchanging batteries. You may have better luck, but I wouldn't recommend ordering this battery if time is critical.

The Seller is an outfit on its way to bancrupcy, which sends the wrong merchandise and takes time to accept returns as to extend the inevitable. Instead of the battery, they sent an old AM/FM antenna, pulled out of somebody's basement. Then, before return, I had to prove they sent the wrong item. They pretended to forget the cost of return, which was shoved conveniently to me. I bet then by the time I finish this writing they have ceased to exist anymore.
