Overall, it's a good clock. I found the settings more intuitive than many other clocks. It seemed to charge quickly and has yet to be recharged over a month later. The lighting does shift with the brightness in the room - at night, it's bright enough to see across the room but not really glowing (unless you touch the top). However, while there's a 5 day alarm and a 7 day alarm, as far as I can tell there's no way for it to know which 5 days you want (you manually set the date and there's no day of the week setting). Maybe it considers being set as the first of the five days, but I'm not sure (I use the 7 day with different alarm time settings). I couldn't find if there was a way to otherwise indicate it.There's three alarm time settings, so you need to pay attention to what you're setting. But, it's awesome if you have a varied schedule through the week, sleep in phases, or if your SO is on a different shift - resetting for the right preset is a lot less of a hassle than doing a full reset every time. I think there's also a way to have all three set at once, but I forget as I only need two and just switch between those.However, be aware that there's no way to turn the alarm actually off without using the main switch in the back, which gets old (and maybe messes with the 5-day alarm cycle). If you let it run its full cycle (1 min - bleeping that starts soft and gets louder), it shuts off automatically, but that's a problem if your SO doesn't want to be woken up at the same time. Annoying if you sleep alone, I guess, but hey you're definitely awake.

I live in an older house without many outlets and wanted a basic clock that I didn't have to plug in. That being said, this is a great clock. There are three options for an alarm, with the option of setting them to a five day or seven day week. To me, this option is unnecessary as I have random weekdays off, but it could be helpful for others. The night light and temperature readings are a nice bonus. There is also a light that turns on to let you know when it needs charging. I've had it for almost a week and haven't needed to charge it. Will update when I finally do. The one and only problem I have with it is that the switch to turn the alarm off is small and on the back. But the point of an alarm is to get your ass out of bed, so I guess it does the trick.

Dissapointed. This clock sounded great for my 7 year old. However, there is no easy way to turn the alarm off. Yes there is a snooze, but having to adjust the 5 or 7 day alarm set everyday just to turn off the alarm eliminates the need 4 such settings. The charge lasted several months and was great. But when it needed another charge it wouldn't hold. Had to toss it after 5 months of use.

A little dim at night makes viewing difficult. But works fine. Needs charging every 2 months !

This item does not work. I bought this for my daughter for her college dorm room. Unfortunately it does not work at all. The alarms goes off 3 hours early, and then randomly after that. Very strange. Since she is a college student I have no way of returning the item since she is away at school and it is now past the return window.

I can say one good thing about this travel alarm clock. When it works, the alarm starts quietly, then gets quite loud. Not an immediate jarring alarm.Other than that, it only seems to hold a charge for a week at most, and twice the alarm just plain didn't go off even though it was properly set. I'm buying a different travel alarm today.

Works well where I have it. The charge does not last as long as they indicate. I would still recommend this product.

I like it, but the instruction manual is not so complete and sometimes its kind of hard to set the alarm.
