iKeep ik2SLVR Universal Charger for iPhone/iPod/Micro USB Ports - Retail Packaging - Silver

I recently purchased the iKeep charger, and I am pretty satisfied with it. I personally misordered it, thinking it held a charge and was an external battery -it came up when i searched that string, my fault for misreading. It has a universal adapted that will charge both micro-usb (android) as well as your standard Apple products. The Apple adapter is on top and flips to the side so the micro-usb is able to be accessed. The charger is on a retractable wheel that extends about a good 12" from the base, and it has prongs that flip out so it can fit in a pocket or bag without much inconvenience.I was a little surprised by the size. To be fair, the dimensions are listed in the description, but they are of the body of the charger, not including the charger head. It was a little bulkier than i had anticpated. I have a Bionic and if laid across the top, from clip to charger it is about the size of the entire phone (roughly 5"), and probably about 2x as thick as my phone. The bulkiness makes the idea of clipping it comfortably to a belt or keychain really not a possibility.It does deliver as promised though. It will charge an apple or droid easily. And its durable so you can throw it in your bag and pull it out as needed.Since it uses the lower guaged wire, don't expect this to charge a phone in under 2-3hours (output is only 0.5amps - most usb are 2.1amps or 1.0amps)This is good for a student or worker who needs a charger that is pretty compact, that will need it for periodic charging or giving a little extra juice to a battery- or if a person will be in one place for a while.I also like it because my wife has an iphone, i have a droid so we can get away and only need one charger (but you can only charge one thing at a time)This delivers as promised, but its good to know the specs so you know what to expect and that it is in fact going to to do the job you need it for.

I love this little gizmo! I keep it in my pocket book so that when my phone is dying I can pull it out and charge it up. It is a great buy! You do have to be careful with the cord but aside from that--it's perfect!

Terrible. Very disappointed, charger fell apart coming out of the box. Very flimsy, not worth the money.

Feels kind of flimsy, overly large, and plasticky. Yes, I know it's plastic, but it feels so light I think they could have massively reduced the size of the clip and still manged to make a decent product.You need a delicate touch when rewinding the cord; I'm continually afraid of breaking it. I'd originally got it to give to the kids to keep around as a "handy" charger for their various electronic devices - not gonna happen.When I pull apart the charger piece to move from iPhone to mini USB, it comes open easily, flips out in an accessible way. Putting it back together into an iPhone charger is freaky - it doesn't "close" all the way and that just messes with my sense of correctness.For an emergency, carry with, occasional charger, it meets my needs.

It was not what I expected. I thought it was a portable battery and the first day i received it, it did not coil back in and still has not. Big disappointment. I live in Barbados and it would be too expensive to return.

I have bought 3 different ikeep phone chargers after the descriptions all stated it would be compatible with each if my kids different iphones. Guess what...none of them are compatible. I give up.
