I was really hopeful when I received it because I was actually able to use it to scratch my back---but if you are seeking a means to alleviate dry skin (exfoliant) the brushes are too fine and too gentle regardless of before, during, or after a shower. Sadly most of the other brushes on amazon have handles which are not ergonomically designed, especially for seniors.

This bath brush is supposed to be 16” in length which is the reason I purchased it. However it only measures 14”. Not long enough. I am Not happy with this item.

When your hand gets soapy it handle gets slippery. Needs deeper ridges to hold
