Kage Racing ST1901 3' Long Wheelchair Ramp

This is a very nice ramp Unfortunately one of the handles was broken when I received it, but I was able to fix it with Plastex (available elsewhere). But otherwise it's not too heavy, is very secure, and my Mom loves it!

The box arrived a bit crushed. Fortunately the ramp was inside another box. Unfortunately there were NO INSTRUCTIONS about use & assembly in either box. As I tried to remove it from the inside box it suddenly flopped open, barely missing the side of my van. It turns out that the chain & peg assemblies that keep the two sides together were not inserted into the holes as is needed to link the two sides.Once I figured out what needed to be done to keep the sides together, I grasped the rather small carrying handle and lifted the unit to put it in place for use. To my dismay, the ramp crashed down on my foot. The two rather small bolts holding the handle onto the ramp had NO NUTS ATTACHING THE HANDLE TO THE RAMP. Now, with a significantly bruised foot, I had to maneuver the ramp into a position/location where I could open it and find the nuts that I assumed would have come loose from shipping vibration. No nuts in the ramp, in either box, or on the garage floor.Once I unfolded and assembled the ramp it seemed to work, but I now have to go to a hardware store, buy the lock nuts that should have been on the ramp, and fasten the handle back where it needs to be.Such sloppiness is inexcusable on a $200 item. And I am going into use of the ramp with serious concerns that some other corners have been cut, ones that I'll only discover when something else happens.I found a lot of 6-foot ramps online. I ordered this one because it was $25 or so cheaper than similar ones and I could get quick, free shipping with my Prime membership. I wish I'd spent more on one of the alternatives.Over time I've been very happy with the quality of items I've found on Amazon. This one has me trying to decide whether the problems I had here are a fluke or whether previously I've just been lucky.

The ramp was bent at the inner end of the right side. I used it but, in the future, please more care.....almost seems used

Very light weight but also very sturdy. It was perfect for exiting through the back sliding door. I didn't have to attach it to the door ledge so it can be moved, taken down & replaced quite easily.

Works great. Itis used daily.

Damaged

I use several of these ramps in my house & my son keeps a few for when I visit. I also carry a 2' ramp in my van so that I can get into friend homes & stores that have a rise at their entrance. It is made well and holds up to active use.

Used it to load and unload heavy equipment from my minivan, works great and it's very easily tucked away
