Phitz is a Chicago-based company. We do all of our instrument case design work here. We manufacture our cases at our wholly-owned factory in China and with nearby partners. We control every aspect of design and every aspect of quality, and we think that matters a lot. We care about everything. We individually inspect each case many times during the manufacturing process. We use better materials, thicker foam and tougher thread. We call out better hardware, sewing, and material details than you'll find in other products. We build the best hardware with the best metal fabricators and test each batch for strength and durability. You'll never know that our stronger thread and obsessive testing kept your case from coming apart three weeks after you bought it - when the competitor's case that you're considering would have failed for lack of similar attention. The details matter. We designed this to be a good case and we hope that we've succeeded. (Lots of happy reviews from customers suggest that we have.) We guarantee our cases and happily accept returns and exchanges. From all of us here, thank you for considering a Phitz case. We hope that you'll make your next case a Phitz.

Beautiful and a perfect fit.
Just a really super case that is both sturdy and very attractive - couldn't ask for more. I like that it locks. The backpack straps are a nice feature, as are the metal feet to protect the case. At first, it didn't seem my Oscar Schmidt would fit, due to the bottom strap button. However, the ample plush molded interior was just...a lot of great padding, so it actually was a perfect Goldilocks fit, with no need for a velcro strip to hold down the neck.

Absolutely Fabulous Case!
I ordered this case because I like to carry my little yellow Makala shark ukulele around school, and the case it came with isn't even trying to be a case. Seriously. Lowest effort case ever. Anyway, I wanted just a simple hard case in a plain color, and this was the cheapest one I could find that looked like what I wanted. It was actually more expensive than my ukulele, which is plastic, and so I feel a little ridiculous when I open it, but it is definitely more than worth the price. The material is beautiful and soft, the inside is lined with grey faux fur, and the padding around the body and along the neck of the ukulele are sublime. I probably should have actually read the description for the case, as I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the case had a lock built into one of the clips and came with not one, but two keys! Two!Other lovely things about this case: the handle is plastic, but it is sturdy and solid, and there is a compartment built into the part that supports the neck of the ukulele that is sufficiently large enough for me to store a tuner and some picks. The compartment does not fit an iPhone 5s. This is irrelevant. The case comes with a Phitz sticker, and, although I'm really not sure what to do with it, I do love stickers and will be sure to stick it on something. In summary: The case exceeded my already high expectations and has a bunch of nifty features that have entertained me for hours.Disclaimer: This review might sound ridiculous, but I assure you that I am being completely honest about the quality of the case, and any stupid remarks are a result of me being a teenager up past her bedtime.

Kala tenor fits like a glove!
My Kala PWT tenor fits this case perfectly! I swear I heard it sigh as I placed it inside! The colors in the design are better than expected, I was pleasantly surprised to note that the body was chocolate brown, not black. This case is well constructed and sturdy. The latches and the straps are great.I plan on taking it along for camping and travel trips, feel more confident that my ukulele will be better protected in this than the soft case I was previously using. It will take getting used to since it is a hard case but now I have a case that clearly more personalized to me, and easily identifiable in a group! It also arrived sooner than expected and was well protected in transit. I would most definitely buy my next case from this company when I make the purchase of my next ukulele...

Great design, poor quality
I love the hula girl design, and I wanted to like this case. Maybe I got a bad one, everyone else seems to love them. The first thing I noticed upon delivery was the top of the case with the hula design had places where the material wasn't stretched and fastened properly, causing it to appear loose and wavy. Next I found that the red material used for the interior was shedding, and had loose frayed chunks coming out of all the sides. I then found a sticky glue residue in multiple places in the center of the red material where it would come in contact with my instrument and along the inside edge where the latches are. I understand during manufacturing glue is applied to fasten the interior material to the wood, but it looks like the glue was on someone's hands, as they fastened the interior, spreading it randomly all over. The last thing I noticed was the case didn't close smoothly and took minor effort to align the opposing sides. I have another case in the $50 range made by Carrion, and had none of these issues, but it doesn't have the nice hula design and contrasting colors this does. I'm bummed and hope this is just a defective case.

Concert Ukulele Case by Phitz
I have paid lots more money, for other brand name, cases for my guitar and my banjo and the workmanship on them is inferior to this case. This is made by Phitz and it is beautiful! No wrinkles in the covering, anywhere. No loose fuzzy interior that I can find. They even give you a separate little pad to use because not all concert Ukuleles are the same length. To say I am impressed is an understatement. I would give this case 10 stars if I could. I worried about what shape the case would be in after being handled during shipping, but they packed it in such a way, I worried for nothing. Unless of course an elephant stepped on it. I do recommend this company and hope you are just as pleased as I am. I wish I'd found this company first for my other cases.

Beautiful and Solid Case
I purchased this case as extra travel protection for my Pono soprano ukulele. I love the retro hula girl graphics and most reviews were good. The case came well packaged with no damage in shipping. The first thing I noticed is how substantial the case felt. It is a bit heavy, so if you need lightweight this case may seem a bit overkill. But I already have a lightweight semi-hard case and this exactly fits my need for a solid case with solid protection. The external latches do the job and I'm happy to have a case that locks. The backpack straps are also substantial. The outside of the case is very attractive with subdued vintage type graphics. The interior is plush and soft with storage inside for strings or a tuner or two. My Pono fits in the case snugly and securely and definitely won't be wiggling around inside. All in all, this is an excellent case to travel your ukulele safely, but will be a bit heavy if you have to carry it for long periods.
